Vinyl cutting is used for designs like vehicle logos or building logos. Vinyl cutting has been used more frequently because of the demand for advertisement for companies whether they’re products or movies on the side of busses, etc…Logos and advertisements are designed as vector so that design can be stretched out without it being distorted. This means that the vinyl cutters can design any size image capable depending on how big the vinyl cutter is. They can also print vinyl’s now which allow people to stick their products and advertisements to a wider range of different objects which promote the commercial.
Inkjet and Wide Format Printing have also progressed throughout the years as designers and advertisers have invested money into this to produce larger copies of this for the wider public. These are used for small posters and flyers. Progress has been made also as printers use less ink than printers before saving the advertisers money.
Laser printers produce high quality prints by the direct scanning of a laser beam across the printer's photoreceptor. This allows many graphic produces to produce large quantities of their product. However large quantities of electricity is needed to keep this product running. On the other side it has helped graphic designers to produce their products faster and allowed the quantities needed to reach the wider audience. New develops in laser printing has vastly improved over the years though as printers can become connected with products such as the iphone or portable usb devices. For example Hp has introduced network connections into their printers that allow people to print necessary needs from any device.
